Tauranga Orchards and Honey Experience with Tastings

After pickup, we head north through the picturesque countryside to Katikati, the avocado capital of New Zealand. Here, you'll enjoy an informative walk through the orchard with the grower, learning about the history and cultivation of this fascinating superfood. Indulge in delectable avocado treats, including creamy avocado ice cream and fresh guacamole, enhancing your appreciation for this versatile fruit.

Next, we visit BeeNZ, renowned for its pure, pollution-free honey sourced from New Zealand's pristine indigenous forests. You'll tour the factory, taste the exquisite honey, and learn about its extraordinary natural properties. BeeNZ also offers beautiful candles, chocolates, and skincare products, providing a perfect opportunity to take home a piece of New Zealand's natural goodness. On weekends, when BeeNZ is unavailable, we visit But First Dessert, the winner of the Plates of Plenty Judges' Choice Award, where you'll enjoy a unique, locally-inspired dessert.

Our journey continues south to the seaside village of Omokoroa for a classic fish and chip lunch. From Thursday to Sunday, this meal is at the Omokoroa Boat Club, offering stunning waterfront views. On other days, we dine at The Village Green, known for its welcoming atmosphere and delicious fare.

After lunch, we visit a kiwifruit orchard where you'll learn about the entire kiwifruit industry, from planting to export, and enjoy a tasting of the luscious fruit (if in season). The tour then takes you to the Minden Lookout, providing panoramic views of the Coastal Bay of Plenty. On clear days, you can even see White Island, an active volcano.

Finally, we return you to the port via Marine Parade, boasting what we claim is the best beach in the Southern Hemisphere.
